Abstract : In this work, ZnO nanorods were prepared via facile hydrothermal technique while Al-doped SnO2/ZnO composite was prepared via spray pyrolysis technique in the presence of different weight percentage of Al. The addition of SnO2 with higher content of Al increases the absorbance of the sample. The device utilizing Al-doped SnO2/ZnO with a higher weight percentage of Al demonstrated higher photovoltaic parameters than those of the device with lower Al content. This is because of the higher Al content sample possesses the higher optical absorption in the UV light region.
