PUBLICATION ETHICS AND MALPRACTICE STATEMENT
IJEM is committed to meeting and upholding the highest standard of publication ethics whereas the publication malpractice is strictly prohibited by all possible measures. We endorse and behave in accordance with the codes of conduct and international standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, Reviewers and Editors are required to follow to the standards of ethical guidelines to conform specific publication ethics.
Authors
IJEM strictly prohibits plagiarism. Authors are responsible to submit original work that has not been published or being considered for publication elsewhere. The significance of research work, technical aspect and relevant references to enable others to replicate the experiments should be discussed and justified. Any inaccurate or misleading statements or fraudulent that may lead towards unethical conduct is unacceptable. Authors should appropriately acknowledge, cite or quote for any work and/or words of others that have been used. In approving the final version of the paper and prior its submission for publication, corresponding author should take prime responsibility for all consensuses of co-authors in publishing the paper.
Editors
Chief Editors main task is to evaluate manuscripts based on their intellectual merit. The Chief Editors will pass the manuscript that conforms to the scope of the journal to Editors for reviewing processes after the first screening process. IJEM strictly prohibits Chief Editors and Editors to use unpublished information of the manuscript submitted without the written consent of the author. Chief Editors and Editors should provide appropriate responsive actions for any ethical complaints related to the submitted manuscript or published paper. To check for similarity index of submitted manuscripts with the published literature, appropriate similarity index software may be used by the editorial office.
Reviewers
Manuscripts submitted for reviewing process should be treated as confidential documents. Information or/and ideas gained through peer review process should not be used for personal advantage. Reviewing process must be conducted professionally based on academic merit. Should the selected Reviewer feels unsuitable, unqualified or unable to review a manuscript due to conflicts of interest (i.e: collaborative and/or other connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions affiliated to the manuscript submitted), kindly notify the editor in TWO (2) weeks time from the review offer is made to excuse himself/herself from the reviewing process.
